Dental lasers are extremely beneficial!

- Patients heal quicker and have a better dental experience
- They reduce chair time (when properly trained)
Over 90% of Dermatologist have a laser. Over 50% of Veterinarians now have a laser. So why doesn’t a higher percentage of dentist have a laser? Perhaps even worse, why do you sometimes you even hear a negative stigma towards lasers amongst dentist? You may have even thought negative thoughts yourself. Does the laser seem slow or didn’t perform as advertised? Do you feel maybe lasers are not for you? Or maybe the doctors you hear about doing amazing things with their lasers just have a special ”laser skill” you don’t have? The fact is a lasers strength, is also its weakness…..they can do MANY things and do them well. So what is the weakness of that? Well, first there are different types of laser that excel at certain things. In addition, different manufacturers make their lasers with different power outputs that work slightly different in different surgical applications. The problem dentist face is all they hear is manufacturer “marketing”. All the great things their laser does. This is a problem, when technically lasers can do all the things they say, but perhaps that particular laser may not be optimal for what the dentist actually wants those lasers for. On top of that, lasers operate optimally in a non-contact mode and require the proper technique in combination with the proper setting to work properly. Proper training is essential.
This is why Dental Laser Coaching started! We want to help you get ALL the benefits that lasers have to offer. We offer a compressive clinical library of various procedures done by various lasers. There is even a blog spot to ask and get answers to your question on that particular procedure. The doctor Q&A is saved to that procedure so you can see what questions other clinicians had on that procedure. Watch a frenectomy done by a CO2laser, Erbium & Diode, see how they are different and pros and cons of each and see all the comments under each. We can consult with you what you optimally want the laser to do for you and help you get those results. We also offer live consultation via interactive video/presentation chat or live clinical in-office over the shoulder training to update your skills or train anew partner or team member.
If you already have a laser we can help you optimize it or consult you if you are looking to buy a different laser. Get an unbiased assessment based on your clinical needs. Additionally if you want to upgrade or purchase pre-owned laser we give you a place to go to look for or post you own laser.
Lasers are great and can do great things, we want to help you better leverage these great tools!
My name is Nick Clausen, owner and founder of Dental Laser Coaching. I founded Dental Laser Coaching because I have seen first hand and know the tremendous value lasers can bring to a dental practice. They can boost revenue, open doors to new procedures and give the patients a truly great dental experience. Controversially, many times I have seen dentist buy a laser and the laser is under utilized collecting dust in a storage room. It breaks my heart. The laser could be collecting dust for a variety of reasons…..improper training, the wrong laser was purchased for what that doctor wanted to do or the laser has an issue of some sort. My goal is to help you get confident to utilize the laser optimally for what you want to do clinically in your practice. I am not a manufacturer, I am a laser consultant for you! I want to provide you with all the tools you need to be confident and get the most out of your investment.Nick Clausen, Company Owner
